Abstract:

Large textures are becoming ubiquitous in "good graphics". Modern textures are exceedingly beyond the size that can be stored on a GPU's memory. In this paper we present an idea for flash based texture storage on the graphics card, eliminating the need to traverse the system buses to get to hard disk or main memory.
